About Me.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and graduate of the Family Therapy Training Program at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. During my training, I worked with clients at UMRC Women’s Health Center (an urban OB/GYN practice) and at the family therapy clinic at Strong Hospital. I was trained in multiple therapy approaches including the ones I use the most now: family systems, narrative therapy, IFS, DBT and ACT. I have sought additional formal instruction in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), IFS (Internal Family Systems), mindfulness and trauma based approaches.

I am passionate about my work as a therapist. Establishing a genuine connection is of the utmost importance to me. I work collaboratively with all my clients. I want to hear what works for you and what doesn’t. I encourage honesty and transparency in our work together. Without that, movement and authentic change don’t occur.

Getting in the door to therapy can often be the most difficult and intimidating step. My hope is that being on my website, reading some of my thoughts makes the process seem a little less scary.
